Open Day at the Dells

11 of us had a lovely day with Simon and Jemma Dell at the NHBG Open Day. They breed Norfolk Horns, Southdowns, Gotlands and Suffolk crosses and we can’t forget their gorgeous Golden Guernseys. Simon’s parent-in-law own 120 acres, of which 20 acres is grassland and 100 acres is arable. They have owned the land since 2010 and originally it was all arable – they have now planted over 1000 trees and various conservation areas including a beetle bank.

Thank you to you all for a lovely day and also a delicious lunch of lamb and sausages in rolls.

Embryo transfer news

David and Lewis’s embryo transfer ram lamb at the Cheshire Show with Adam Henson. The lamb is sired by N7043 – Gipping Jacob (28/03/2003) (frozen semen) and its dam is N11293 – Still Oaks May (25/03/2013). David and Lewis also have a ewe lamb from the same mating. We look forward to seeing how the two lambs grow on.
